I absolutely love this machine. It makes great espresso and froths milk like a dream... I guess that's why they call it the Dream Machine. I did months of research before I bought this espresso machine and it paid off.I make at least 4 drinks a day and I've had it for 4 weeks, I don't see any problems yet. I highly recommend this machine for experts and novices alike.

Story:I received this as a gift partly due to my weekly expenditure at my local coffee shop and a lengthy conversation on the average annual total which was more than this machine cost. I cannot be happier with the performance of this machine.Use:3-5 times daily for 2+ years.Durability:I have had no issue with the machine whatsoever. It should be noted that about once a year with regular use you will have to replace the gaskets on the brew head. You can find this by looking up "Ascaso Dream Tune Up Kit." I have done this twice and it's quite easy; all you need is a screwdriver.Modifications:I ended up researching bottomless portafilters. After googling "ASCASO bottomless naked portafilter" I was able to purchase the portafilter and the separate basket (BlueStar). In conjunction with proper tamp and grind the crema and shot is incredible and might even rival your local coffee shoppe with practice. If you're looking to take your shots to the next level I would highly recommend looking into this. Also when steaming your milk I would recommend not using any of the steam wand attachments to achieve the best frothing out of this machine, you'll find that rolling the milk is a lot easier without them.Pros:Surface Clean-ability | Crema Generation | Ease of use | Maintenance Ease | Machined with Durability in mind and DIY upkeepCons:Supplied Portafilter is Drippy | Doesn't Come with non Pressurised Basket | Puck with supplied filter is wet | No Pressure Blow-off after steaming other than flipping coffee switchIndifference:Noise | Reservoir Size | Countertop FootprintRecommendations:Upgrade Brew head (can be found on a Seattle coffee site) | Experiment with unpressurised basket/naked portafilter BlueStar | Remove Steam wand attachments.
